Funny Story: I Guess Beggars

This is a funny short story. This story is taken from a real experience and long ago that when I was in elementary school. I read my diary and remember back. It made me smile to myself.

The story is like this: One day, I and my brother was sitting on the porch in front of the house while chatting and joking together. About 09:00 a.m, there was a boy who looks the same age as me. Then he approached our house. I thought he was a beggar because he dressed mediocre and did not speak anything. Then I went in and asked for the money to my mother. I said, "Mom, there are beggars in front. He seems a pity." Finally, I give money to a person who I guess beggars.

But he instead replied, "I'm not going to beg, but I want to deliver these herbs to your mother." Hearing this, I then ran and spoke to my mother, "Mom, it turns out that outside is not a beggar, but a person who deliver these herbs to you." Finally, I apologize to that person. After the man got home I laugh when recalling the incident at the time, I was embarrassed to that person.

So after re-reading the story, I got a lesson that should not judge people only by their appearance. A wise sentence: do not judge a book by the cover. Moreover, try to dress well so that others are not mistaken about you. The first glance is important.
